Gypsy Rose Blanchard Wrote Fans a Letter Asking for a "Favor"

Good morning, Gypsy Rose Blanchard is hoping you can help reduce her prison sentence! Gypsy—the subject of Hulu’s show The Act who’s currently in prison for the second-degree murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard—has written a letter to her supporters encouraging them to write letters on her behalf petitioning for an early release.

Gypsy’s letter was originally shared by In Touch, and says the following:

“Hello Friends and Supporters. I appreciate the continued encouragement throughout my prison sentence. Many of y’all have signed the Free Gypsy Blanchard Petition created by my father Rod Blanchard. Now, I must ask a favor, I am respectfully asking all who wish me an early release to please aid my father in his efforts for my freedom and write a letter expressing support for my early release to either the Missouri State Governor, Michael L. Parson, AND/OR the Division of the Missouri State Board of Probation and Parole.”

Gypsy added the address where supporters can send their letters, and reminded everyone that she’s “scheduled for a parole hearing in December of 2021, however any and all letters of support are helpful.” She signed the note with “thank you” and a smiley face.

FYI, Gypsy is in the midst of a 10-year sentence, and recently got engaged to a man she met while serving time. Her former boyfriend Nick Godejohn pleaded not guilty to the murder of Dee Dee Blanchard but was convicted and sentenced to life in February.
