Baby and toddler orphaned after horror head-on collision kills parents

Tragic Yanna Kockova and Marko Godla, both aged in their 20s, leave behind Nela, 2, and Rachael, 1, after a driver ploughed into their car while allegedly intoxicated.

Yanna’s brother Tomas Kocko was also killed after the horrific head-on collision in the early hours on Sunday.

Police said the crash happened after the driver of the other vehicle drove down the wrong side of the slip road on the A1139, Frank Perkins Parkway.

One man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of drink and/or drugs.

Danny Lackova wrote: “I don’t believe it.”

Stephen Joty wrote: “Brother… I won’t forget you.”

Under another picture, he said: “My brother… I will never see you again.”

Posting photos of Slovakian-born mum Yanna, Stephen said: “I love you, I will never forget you.”

On Sunday a statement from Cambridgeshire Police said: “Three people have died in a collision on the Fletton Parkway just after midnight today (Sunday, 14 April).

“Police were called to a collision involving two vehicles at the slip road to Stanground on the westbound carriageway.

“One vehicle had driven down the slip road the wrong way and collided head-on with another vehicle, killing all three of its occupants.

“The driver of the offending vehicle has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving while under the influence of drink and/or drugs. He is in a critical condition in hospital.

“The road has been closed westbound this morning however it has now reopened.”
