Human remains found in search of Emma Faulds who vanished 46 days ago

Emma, 39, was reported missing to police on Tuesday, April 30, after last being seen two days prior.

She has now been missing for 46 days – and police have charged a man with her murder.

Her body has still not been found however, but cops confirmed this morning they have found human remains in the search.

Police Scotland said they have made Emma’s family aware of the discovery.

It is not yet confirmed that the human remains belong to missing Emma.

Detectives were last month appealing for the movements of two black cars central to the investigation.

They happealed for mobile phone and dashcam video of a black Mercedes and a black Jaguar car on the A714.

Youth worker Emma vanished after she was last seen going out to walk her dog.

A massive 700 sq mile area has been scoured by cops hoping to find her – with fears she has “come to harm”. 

Police Scotland said: “On Wednesday, June 12, human remains were discovered in the Galloway Forest, Dumfries and Galloway.

“The family of Emma Faulds has been made aware. Enquiries are ongoing.”

Ross Willox, 39, is charged with murdering Emma and attempting to defeat justice.

He made no plea during a second appearance at Ayr Sheriff Court last week and was remanded in custody.
