Bill Cosby, who is in prison for his sexual assault conviction, apparently catches wind of the rapper’s post and quickly sent love to Dogg via Instagram and Twitter.
AceShowbiz –Gayle King received so much flak over the Kobe Bryant questions during an interview with former WNBA (Women’s National Basketball Association) star Lisa Leslie on “CBS This Morning”. She was criticized for asking her about the late NBA legend’s rape trial, and among the critics were Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent and Boosie Badazz (Lil Boosie).
On Thursday, February 6, Dogg took to his Instagram account to blast both King and Oprah Winfrey. “Did that fake a** micheal Jackson [sic] s**t to tarnish his name with them lying a** kids and here she is with a known rapist smiling and laughing,” so the rapper wrote alongside a picture of Oprah and Harvey Weinstein. “F**k u and Gayle. Free bill Cosby.”
Bill Cosby, who is in prison for his sexual assault conviction, apparently caught wind of the post and quickly sent love to Dogg via Instagram and Twitter. “Snoop – when they brought me to my gated community and placed me inside of my penthouse, they didn’t win nor did they silence me,” so he wrote on his own account.
“It’s so sad and disappointing that successful Black Women are being used to tarnish the image and legacy of successful Black Men, even in death. Are these people that in need of fame, ratings and/or money? On behalf of myself, Camille and my family, thank you, thank you and thank you. My heartfelt prayers are with Kobe and his family, as well as with Michael Jackson and his family. May their legacies live on forever,” he continued writing before adding hashtags of #ThankYouSnoopDogg, #BetOnBlackLegacy and #StopTearingDownBlackMen among others.
The message was well received by Dogg who reposted the massage on Instagram. “Love u uncle bill,” he said.
Gayle, meanwhile, addressed the scandal on her Instagram page. “I am mortified. I am embarrassed and I am very angry. Unbeknownst to me, my network put up a clip from a very wide-ranging interview – totally taken out of context – and when you see it that way, it’s very jarring. It’s jarring to me. I didn’t even know anything about it,” she said in a video.
Honouring Bryant as “warm and friendly,” the broadcaster insisted there will be “a very intense discussion” between her and the network. “I wanted you to hear exactly where I’m coming from and how I’m feeling, and to let everybody know that no disrespect intended … I thank you for listening.”
