Christine McGuinness has been left heartbroken as she revealed her mum has breast cancer.

The 32 year old, who recently flaunted her incredible figure in a strapless top and denim jeans, took to her Instagram feed to make the announcement with her 476,000 followers in an attempt to raise awareness around the condition.

The model shared a gorgeous photo of her mother, where she could be seen stretching out her arms over a wall with a graffiti of Angel wings behind her.

The brunette beauty could be seen smiling in the snap as she donned a white and red floral dress with white sandals and a pair of dark-framed shades on.

In the caption, Christine emotionally penned: "This is possibly the most upsetting post I will ever write and typing away now it’s really hitting home," alongside a crying emoji.

"My mum, my best friend, my rock was recently diagnosed with breast cancer," she continued with a broken heart emoji.

The stunning star, who recently revealed she's lost weight during the coronavirus lockdown period, went on: "It’s hit me hard, we are very close.

"She is a huge part of our family. We spend almost every weekend together with my children, their bond is magical.

"But, my mum is also the strongest woman I know and is determined to fight it. she’s a proper ‘scouse Ma’," she wrote with a pink heart emoji, bicep muscle emoji and smiling emoji.

The Real Housewives of Cheshire star continued by explaining why she's decided to make this knowledge public now as she said: "I have always supported breast cancer charities as four of my aunties have also had breast cancer and my mum has asked me to continue helping raise money and awareness (the reason I’m sharing this) she has the biggest heart and always just wants to help others," with a red heart emoji.

Christine ended her statement by adding the hashtags #MyMum, #MyInspo, #MyMa before and said: "You will smash it mum," with a praying hands emoji and a sad face emoji.

Celebrity friends were quick to offer their support to the star as Gemma Atkinson wrote: "Sending love and much strength to you all," with two red heart emojis and Lizzie Cundy added: "So very sorry my darling," with two pink heart emojis.
