When asked if seeing Alan as a doting dad to Siena makes her excited to have her own children with him someday, Tisha revealed: “He’ll be so amazing. When we were still friends, I got asked to babysit and asked Alan to come along.

“We got there and it was just Alan babysitting. He’s such a good dad; he’s so caring and loving.

“He notices everything and his communication with Sienna is so strong. I would love that for our child if we have one.”

And, when asked if the pair had discussed starting a family, Alan said: “You always talk to each other about your aspirations, don’t you?

“What you’d like in terms of family, etc. We’ve never had a proper serious sit down but we’ve discussed the future together.”

The couple’s discussion on future plans to expand their family someday come after Alan tricked fans into thinking that they were expecting a baby with an Instagram post.

Alan shared a snap on his Instagram page, which looked much like an ultrasound scan, leading fans to believe they were expecting their first child together.

The soap star then revealed in the caption that the scan was in fact one of a liver as he wrote: “Well, here goes … some exciting news for you all! It’s come as a bit of a shock but now’s the time to share.

“Totally unexpected and we’ve not told anyone, didn’t want to shout it to the world at first until it was confirmed.

“We can now share this wonderful news with you all and we’re very proud to announce … this is a scan of my liver in perfect condition, ready for when the pubs re-open…….”

Speaking about the social media prank to OK! magazine, Alan admitted he couldn’t believe how much reaction the post got.

Actor Alan said: “It had like 20,000 likes in a day. So many people wrote back congratulating us. I was like: ‘Read the caption! It’s a joke about my liver!’”

While Tisha added: “I howled at that. It really tickled me.”

The couple first met on the Coronation Street set and were friends for a while before things got romantic between them.

Tisha reminisced: “We first met on Corrie years ago and I remember thinking how Alan was so nice, professional and really kind. Then a while later, I moved to Worsley near Alan and I started going to this yoga studio. One day I got a message from him saying he went to the same studio and we should go together one day.”

Soap star Alan added: “I’d really got into hot yoga and someone mentioned that Tisha was going to the same studio so I thought we could go together. We got on so well and after that we spent a lot of time together. We’d play badminton, or go for walks or dinners. We lived less than a mile away from each another.”

Tisha then revealed their relationship was a slow-burner as she said: “It was about nine months of friendship at the start. It’s nice that we built a strong foundation before anything romantic."
