Ellie Harrison is an English TV presenter who has been presenting on BBC One’s Countryfile since 2009. The 42-year-old has also presented for ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and the Discovery Channel. Viewers are wondering whether she is married and has children, and Express.co.uk has everything you need to know.

Who is Matt Goodman?

Ellie Harrison is not married, but she is engaged to her fiance Matthew Goodman, whom she has been with since 2005.

Harrison and Goodman, a physician, have been engaged for almost 15 years after they committed themselves to each other in 2005.

They showed their love for one another in a unique way, with Harrison reportedly having scarification on her arm on their 10 year anniversary.

Scarification is where the appearance of the skin is changed by superficially cutting designs into it.

Harrison said it was her way of showing how this was her form of “offering” to him.

Do Matt Goodman and Ellie Harrison have children?

Yes, the couple has two daughters and one son, but their names are not in the spotlight as the couple do not reveal much about their children.

She does not have any social media accounts, revealing she did not want it to ruin her day.

A blog titled Mummy Pages says Harrison’s eldest children are called Red and Lux, but this has not been confirmed.

The family is said to live in Gloucestershire, and they prefer to keep their lives private.

Harrison is an ecologist and journalist who has also appeared on The One Show and Daily Planet.

Not much is known about Goodman, but according to the Daily Mail he once dated This Morning’s Holly Willoughby.

Their source said: “Holly and Matt are from Brighton and went out for quite a while. Matt’s father, a dentist called Peter, adored Holly and he and his wife were very sorry when they broke up.”

When Goodman found out about his partner’s act of love he was shocked and conflicted but found it emotional.

The presenter said the scarification had been very painful, but she wanted to prove her dedication to him.

The BBC Host had a number of circular marks etched into her left arm with a blade.

Speaking to Event Magazine she said: “We’re not married, but this was my great offering to him. Obviously, if he leaves me I’ll have to create a different story about what it’s about.”

She said her partner had no idea she was having the marks done, and she presented her arm to him wrapped in clingfilm after the process.

The host hopes to marry her fiance one day, but she said she was proud to have already had children with him.

Ellie has been part of Countryfile for 11 years and she has become a familiar face amongst UK households.

Harrison is also known to have been the vice president of The Wildlife Trusts.

She has also shown support for The Prince’s Countryside Fund, saying: “No matter how much change goes on in our lives, our daily relationship with food remains a constant, intrinsically linking us to our farmers and the working life of the land.”

Harrison originally studied geography at Kings College London, during which time she was in a relationship with Nathan Hutchings, who is the son of actor Geoffrey Hutchings.

She gained an interest in wildlife while visiting Zimbabwe with her boyfriend Hutchings.

She took on a career as a country singer and would support herself by working as a secretary at Channel 5.

From here she was picked up as a presenter with great potential.

Countryfile airs at 7pm on Sundays on BBC One
