Elton John has shared a video of him and Ed Sheeran re-creating a scene from the movie Love Actually to promote their new holiday song, “Merry Christmas.”
In a teaser on social media, the English musicians announced that their song will be released on Friday.
The Ed Sheeran Suffolk Music Foundation and the Elton John AIDS Foundation will benefit from all U.K. profits from the song.
“Just under a year ago, I called @edsheeran to see if he wanted to make a Christmas single with me and now it’s nearly here. ‘Merry Christmas’ will be out Fri 3 Dec with all proceeds from this year’s Christmas period going to the Ed Sheeran Suffolk Music Foundation & @ejaf,” John wrote in a Twitter post.
In a joint post on Twitter and Instagram, the pair shared a sneak peek of the corresponding video for the track.
“This was an absolute blast! Our music video for ‘Merry Christmas’ is coming this Friday,” John and Sheeran captioned the post.
