Flack season two first look: Sam Neill joins show as Sophie Okonedo’s on-screen ex-husband as two characters rekindle their ‘passionate’ romance  

She stars as fiery PR boss Caroline in the comedy-drama show. 

And Sophie Okonedo’s character is set to reunite with her on-screen ex-husband Duncan played by Sam Neill in the second series of Flack. 

The two characters are said to rekindle their ‘passionate’ romance in the second season, which is set to debut on April 13.

In a first look snap, it sees Caroline and Duncan pursuing their relationship once again as the two characters end up in bed together.

Yet it looks as though there could be trouble in paradise for the on-off couple as they appear to be having a tense conversation.

Flack is set in the world of a celebrity PR firm, headed by Anna Paquin’s Robyn, with the second season featuring Sam Neill, Daniel Dae Kim and Martha Plimpton.

Series two will debut on W after it was cancelled on Pop TV following the broadcaster’s cut backs on scripted television programmes.

The show was cancelled, ahead of the second season debuting on March 13, along with Florida Girls and Best Intentions, according to Variety. 

The news came as the Viacom-owned network issued its first round of layoffs, with the network reportedly letting go of 100 employees. 

Flack was renewed for a second season back in August, with the six-episode season slated to debut on April 13 on W.

‘We are extremely disappointed in Pop’s decision to not move forward with ‘Best Intentions,’ an A+E Studios spokesperson said in a statement.

‘We have complete confidence in our creative team and are actively shopping the series to other outlets.’

Flack series two kicks off on April 13 on W.
