Most people in their mid-twenties enjoy going out and partying the night away — but not Justin and Hailey Bieber.

Although the couple could easily be out rubbing elbows with fellow A-list celebrities while attending high-profile events, the supermodel recently revealed that she and her hubby prefer being home.

Since they favor spending time together in their humble abode, the couple made sure to put forth with one major household rule so that they make most of their time as newlyweds.

The couple has a no phones allowed policy

Spending quality time with your significant other is key to making any romantic relationships last — which is why the Biebers make sure to unplug and connect whenever they have some downtime.

In a new interview with Elle magazine, the supermodel opens up about married life with the global pop star and shares that despite their demanding schedules, they try their best to spend quality time together at home.

“I definitely enjoy being home more than I enjoy being away,” she tells the outlet, adding that she and the singer enjoy cuddling on the couch and watching Friends reruns with their cats.

Seeing as though they both have busy careers, Bieber reveals that she and her hubby take their quality time very seriously. She even shared the one rule they put forth in their marriage for them to make the most of their newlywed phase.

“We have a rule: No phones in bed unless it’s absolutely necessary,” she told the outlet.

Although their marriage is going pretty smoothly at the moment, Bieber reveals that life as newlyweds wasn’t all rainbows and butterflies in the beginning.

After tying the knot in an NYC courthouse in September 2018, the model reveals that the “in sickness and in health” part of their marriage was immediately put the test.

“He was really sick. He has Lyme disease, and he was dealing with a bunch of medical stuff. We didn’t have a diagnosis,” she said. “And it was hard because everybody from the outside was being super mean and judgmental, saying he looked like he was on drugs, saying how unhealthy he looked, when in truth, he was not healthy and we didn’t know why.”

Though their marriage faced obstacles right off the bat, Bieber didn’t let that stop her from sticking by her husband through it all.

“It was months of me being a new wife trying to help him figure out what was wrong and what was going on,” she continued. “Now he’s perfectly healthy.”

Bieber couldn’t be happier in her marriage

Now that the pop star’s recovered from his health scare, Bieber’s looking forward to what’s to come in their marriage.

She told the outlet that she’s ready to be “wifey” on the road while the singer’s on tour and says that she can’t wait to experience this new journey alongside her hubby.

“Justin’s going on tour in 2020, so that’s happening. I’ll be with him and bounce in and out for work when I need to,” she shared. “I’m really excited about experiencing this new part of life, being someone’s partner. I think it’s exciting and it’s fun.”

While she is excited to see how much their relationship blossoms over the next few years, the model’s over the moon that she gets to do so with Bieber by her side.

“He was somebody I’d always cared about so deeply and loved very deeply. Obviously, it took work and getting past things between the two of us, but it was all very worth it,” the model gushed. “He’s an incredible, amazing man and such a good partner to go through life with. There is no one else I would have ever wanted to spend my life with except him. So, I’m lucky.”
