Jake Gyllenhaal thinks Sean Paul dutty rocks.
While promoting “Spider-Man: Far From Home” in London with co-star Tom Holland this week, Gyllenhaal, 38, fiercely defended Sean Paul after a listener called him “massively overrated” on BBC Radio 1’s “Unpopular Opinion” game with Greg James.
“Sean Paul makes every song better he’s in,” Gyllenhaal said. “There’s not a song he’s on, a remix that he’s on that isn’t good.”
Elaborating on his support, Gyllenhaal also noted that Paul’s tunes make sitting in traffic bearable.
“You can be stuck in traffic and he comes on and you want to dance. Doesn’t matter,” he said.
Capping off the interview with Paul’s 2016 track, “Cheap Thrills,” a surprised Holland, 23, said he didn’t expect Gyllenhaal to be a fan of the song.
“Let’s be honest, who doesn’t like a cheap thrill,” Gyllenhaal quipped.
Upon hearing Gyllenhaal’s praise, Paul, 46, replied on Twitter: “GIVE TANX AN BLESS UP YUHSELF JAKE!!! #MADPEOPLETINGDEYSHOULDKNO.”
