Katie Price has been slammed by fans after treating herself to yet another dog – 18 months after her last family pet was run down and allegedly killed by a pizza delivery driver.
The 41-year-old ex-glamour model has splashed out on an expensive family protection dog that she's named Blade – despite buying a £1,000 puppy of the same breed just before Christmas.
Katie shared a video of herself training the new member of her family in a garden, tagging the training company that has been raising the German shepherd dog from a pup.
"Love my dog Blade," she captioned a snap of him looking into the camera while chilling out in her house.
Just six months ago, Katie announced she'd bought an expensive puppy called Bear shortly after narrowly swerving being made bankrupt.
But Bear hasn't been seen on Katie's Instagram since May 22. Her older German shepherd, Sparkle, hasn't appeared in pictures since March 25.
Months before Blade's arrival at her mucky mansion, Katie was accused of 'palming off' her family pets for cash as she struggled to make ends meet.
A bevy of llamas, goats, pigs, sheep and horses were put up for sale online, although ex husband Peter Andre managed to talk her out of getting rid of the kids' sphynx cats Dobbie and Hagrid, and African hedgehog Peggy, for cold hard cash.
And she's been criticised for getting Blade after so many of her pets have met sad ends – from Marvin the chameleon, who apparently died of a "broken heart" after Junior and Princess left him with Katie to move in with their dad, to Queenie the Alsatian, who allegedly died under the wheels of a pizza delivery van on Katie's driveway.
"But you just got rid of your other dog ??? Why get another," one critic posted on Katie's Instagram.
"What happened to your great Danes your Bulldogs your pigs.your micro pig bingles, your two dogs de Bordeaux sparkle, queenie, all the horses you've flipped???" asked another.
A third queried: "Dogs are not a disposable part of the family! What happened to your previous dog?"
And a fourth wrote: "I wonder what happened to the other German Shepherd she has? She could’ve invested in training that one instead of getting another one. They’re NOT disposable!"
Mirror Online has contacted Katie's rep and the training company for comment.
