Asserting its supremacy among seasonal songs, Mariah Carey‘s iconic holiday anthem “All I Want For Christmas Is You” returned to the top of Billboard‘s Holiday 100 chart.
It is followed by Brenda Lee‘s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” at No. 2, and Bobby Helms‘ “Jingle Bell Rock” at No. 3, as per Nielsen Music/MRC Data dated December 5.
This is the record 41st week that the holiday classic ranks first in the chart’s 46 total weeks since it was launched a decade ago.
“All I Want for Christmas Is You” led the Holiday 100 for 26 consecutive weeks since the 2015-16 holiday season.
Only four other holiday classics have topped the the Holiday 100 chart. They are Justin Bieber‘s “Mistletoe,” Ariana Grande‘s “Santa Tell Me” and Pentatonix‘s “Little Drummer Boy” and “Mary, Did You Know?”
2020 marks the 25th anniversary of Carey’s iconic No. 1 holiday anthem “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”
The multi-Grammy award-winning artist’s new holiday special “Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special” will debut globally on Friday on Apple TV+.
