The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall have reunited to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary following his battle with the coronavirus.

The couple first met at a polo match in Windsor back in 1970 and after a long love affair that spanned almost five decades, they married on 9 April 2005.

To mark the occasion, they decided to pose for a sweet photograph in their Scotland home of Birkhall with their two Jack Russell Terriers.

The stunning photo sees a perky-looking Prince Charles wearing deep green-coloured trousers paired with some brown loafers as he dons a blue shirt and dark jacket on top.

The 71 year old, whose son Prince Harry is reportedly "overwhelmed with guilt" over leaving the UK after hearing his father had tested positive for the virus, can be seen smiling as he holds his black, white and brown multicoloured dog Beth.

His wife, 72, sits next to him wearing blue jeans with navy boots and a light pink shirt underneath a blue jumper on top.

Camilla appears to have blow-dried her blonde hair in preparation for the special photo as her short bob looks stunning.

In the snap, which was taken by a member of the staff, the Duchess leans against her husband as their light-brown and white dog Bluebell sits obediently on her lap.

The two dogs mean a great deal to the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, which is their title for when they're in Scotland, as the Jack Russell Terriers are both rescues from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, of which the Camilla is a Royal Patron.

How celebrities are helping out during the coronavirus pandemic

Prince Charles had confirmed he tested positive for the deadly bug on 25 March in a statement which read: "The Prince of Wales has tested positive for Coronavirus.

"He has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual. The Duchess of Cornwall has also been tested but does not have the virus.

"In accordance with Government and medical advice, the Prince and the Duchess are now self-isolating at home in Scotland."

However, the resilient royal managed to beat covid-19 and get out of self-isolation after getting the all clear from doctors.

A Clarence House spokesman said at the time: ”Having consulted with his doctor, The Prince of Wales is now out of self-isolation.”

Camilla remained in self-isolation for an additional week after her other half was allowed to step outside, reuniting with him for their special anniversary.
