Sundance Adds Evan Rachel Wood Doc Chronicling Marilyn Manson Abuse Allegations

The first half of Phoenix Rising, a two-part documentary of the life of Evan Rachel Wood, will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival 2022, as per the official website.

The movie, directed by Amy Berg, revolves around the life of the actress, including her tumultuous engagement to Marilyn Mansion.

Wood had made public allegations of grooming and abuse, both online and to the media, but she did not name any names at that time. Later in February 2021, Wood came forward, calling out the industrial metal singer as the abuser.

After Wood, there have been many other women who have claimed that Mansion has raped or abused them. “Game of Thrones” actor Esme Bianco is one of the biggest names on the list of accusers.

While the first part will air at the Sundance Festival, the other part is also reported to launch within months and will be aired on HBO.
