Rapper Tory Lanez has been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from Megan Thee Stallion and to have no contact with her.

The Canadian rapper, whose legal name is Daystar Peterson, was charged in connection with the shooting incident involving Megan, which resulted in the “WAP” singer being hospitalized.

He faces one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and one count of carrying a loaded, concealed firearm in a vehicle.

Lanez made his court appearance by phone in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 13. He did not enter a plea. His arraignment was postponed until November 18.

If convicted on both charges, Lanez faces a maximum sentence of 22 years and eight months in prison.

On July 12, Megan and Lanez were pulled over in California’s Hollywood Hills. Lanez was eventually arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, while Megan was handcuffed but later sent to the hospital.

Megan later revealed that she was shot several times in both her feet. She also posted a graphic photo of her wound, which she later deleted.
