The cause of Truett Foster McKeehan‘s death, the son of Christian rapper TobyMac, has been revealed.
A representative for the rapper confirmed on Tuesday (January 21) to People that his son died at the age of 21 due to an accidental overdose of fentanyl and amphetamines.
Truett died suddenly in October. Medics rushed to the family’s home in Tennessee after responding to a cardiac arrest call.
“Truett Foster Mckeehan had joy that took the room when he entered. He was a magnetic son and brother and friend. If you met him, you knew him, you remembered him. His smile, his laugh, the encouragement he offered with words or even without. He had an untamable grand personality and dreams to match. And he hated being put in a box,” TobyMac wrote on Instagram following his son’s death.
Our thoughts are with Truett‘s loved ones at this difficult time.
