Former “Bachelor” star Arie Luyendyk Jr. and wife Lauren Burnham revealed she suffered a miscarriage late last month.

“This isn’t our typical, positive vibes type video,” Burnham, 28, begins a nearly 30-minute video, posted on Saturday.

The video shows the couple — who met on the ABC reality series in 2018 and share a 1-year-old daughter — learning they are expecting their second child together, before cutting to a doctor’s appointment.

Her first ultrasound “showed that [she] was five weeks,” when she should have been eight weeks along.

“We were really confused by that, didn’t know why or what was going on, but our doctor assured us that it could be a number of things and not to panic about it,” Burnham explained.

Although Burnham’s hormone levels increased after the visit, she received further bad news at a follow-up appointment.

“The baby was measuring only five days more than it was in the last ultrasound, which had been two weeks prior,” Burnham said. “So again, we were in that state of wondering and worrying about it.”

During a third doctor’s appointment on May 28, Burnham learned that she suffered a missed miscarriage, which occurs when “the placental and embryonic tissues remain in the uterus, but the embryo has died or was never formed,” according to the Mayo Clinic.

Luyendyk, 38, later shared the experience has been a “rollercoaster of emotions.”

“Going from scared at first a little bit cause it was so soon, then happy, then stress and just worry for weeks on end, and obviously today was the bad news and it’s something that you can never really prepare for,” he said. “I feel like we’ve been trying to prepare for either good or bad news, but trying to stay positive at the same time.”

Burnham added sharing the video was “the best way for [them] to tell the whole story.”

The couple, who wed in Hawaii last January, said they wanted to share their journey to show others they “are not alone.”

“Hopefully the next time you see a video with the word pregnancy in it, it’s positive, it’s good news,” Luyendyk said.

Burnham and Luyendyk recently celebrated their daughter Alessi’s first birthday.
