Is there a £10,000 prize hiding in your crisp packet?
To celebrate the launch of Wotsits Giants, Walkers is giving a lucky Brit the chance to win the money.
All you have to do is identify super-sized Wotists in packets of the new crisps – these will measure around 6.5cm.
When you do, be sure not to eat them.
Whoever finds it will have to hand over their XL snack, as it will be displayed at the Walkers factory – the new home of ‘Wotzilla’, the 10.66m record-breaking Wotsit.
So snap a picture of your find and get your measuring tape out to record how long it is.
Karl Chamberlain, whose job in Quality Control at Walkers involves him measuring and tasting Wotsits Giants for a living, has shared his top measurement technique.
He said: “Wotsits Giants come in all shapes and sizes.
“On average, they are twice as large as classic Wotsits, measuring 6.5cm in length with a diameter of almost 2cm, but some fall outside of our average size margins. We call these ‘super Giants’ at the factory.
“To measure them accurately, it’s important to turn the Wotsits Giant in question on its side so that it forms an arch or backwards c shape against your measuring device, whether that’s a ruler or tape measure (or in our case, callipers).
“Then, to get the true length, make sure you measure from outer tip to outer tip. Millimetres make all the difference.”
After you’ve measured your crisp, enter the competition on Twitter and Facebook.
Those who have found super-size Wotsits will then be asked to send them in for verification.
Successful entrants are to be placed into a draw – and one winner of £10,000 will be picked out.
The competition ends on October 6.
