Gone are the days when Marks & Spencer was reserved for underwear only with the retailer producing must-have items season after season.
And it seems that the high-street giant has done it again with the release of a spring dress that has already sold out in five sizes.
The Geometric Print Half Sleeve Maxi is part of the brand’s Autograph range and features bold graphic prints in green, blue and yellow.
A £69 Marks & Spencer dress (pictured) has already sold out in five sizes since its launch in stores two weeks ago
The mid-length sleeves and waist cinching belt offers a flattering shape to buyers and at £69 are more purse friendly then the graphic prints seen on the SS18 Marni catwalk.
The dress first attracted interest when it was shared on the M&S fashion Instagram account back in March.
The teaser image attracted over 1,000 likes and hundreds of comments from impatient shoppers inquiring as to when it will be in stock.
The account then shared a second post just over a week ago announcing the launch of the garment in store where it received over 1,500 likes.

After the retailer shared photos of the dress on Instagram it was inundated with comments from shoppers eager to get their hands on it
Commenting on the post one shopper wrote: ‘Ummmmmm adding to basket’.
While another added: ‘Omg omg omg…. dream dress!!’
The statement dress has proven popular with bloggers too with fashion writer and stylist Fran Bacon sharing a snap of her take on the look.
Captioning the snap she wrote: ‘It lives up to all expectations, it is cool and comfy (especially today in 28 degree heat) and is super flattering (I got stopped by five different people in London today asking where it is from) size down I am wearing the 8 and it is still generous but falls nicely and it doesn’t crush.’
The garment has attracted mainly five star reviews and is now only available to buy in sizes 14-20 online

The must-have dress has now sold out in size 6-12 and 22 online with just a size 14, 16, 18 and 20 left to buy.
Those who have managed to get their hands on the dress have nothing but praise for their purchase with it receiving a flurry of five star reviews.
An M&S Spokesperson Comments: ‘At M&S we always see increased interest in dresses from our customers at this time of year, and for the colour confident shopper the Autograph geo print maxi is a great addition to your Summer wardrobe.
‘The belted dress has been selling well since its launch online and instore and is currently sold out in sizes 6-12 online. The bold print and relaxed maxi fit make it the perfect Summer statement piece.’
This is the second time this season that Marks and Spencer has sent shoppers’ hearts racing with its stylish offerings.
Giving customers a preview of their upcoming new line the retailer shared a photo of a blue and white wrap dress on its fashion Instagram account.
Last month a blue and white wrap dress from Marks & Spencer sent shoppers into a frenzy after the retailer shared a snap of the frock on Instagram
The photo was flooded with comments from shoppers asking when the dress will go on sale
The post quickly attracted interest amassing more than 5,000 likes and hundreds of comments from impatient shoppers inquiring as to when it will be in stock.
The post proved so popular that it garnered more likes than a photo shared of Meghan Markle wearing an M&S jumper.
The £39.50 belted-wrap dress is cut just below the knee and features a three quarter length sleeve.
Despite the mass interest shoppers will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on the frock with the retailer confirming that it won’t be available until May.
