Headline writers love to hyperbolize, baiting clicks with phrases like “you won’t believe” or “you won’t recognize so and so!” but in the case of Gisele Bundchen’s latest magazine cover, that word choice is pretty justified.

The Brazilian supermodel, who last walked a runway at the 2016 Rio Olympics, really does look unrecognizable on the October cover of Vogue Italia . That’s largely because she’s channeling 1960s Italian pop icon Mina Mazzini with curly red hair, a dark red lip and a smokey eye. (“Forever Mina,” the cover declares in tribute to the “Zum Zum Zum” singer, who marks 60 years in showbiz this year.)

“It’s always fun when I get to play different roles while modeling and feel what is like to look completely different,” Bundchen, 38, wrote in an Instagram caption debuting the cover photo Wednesday.

It’s always fun when I get to play different roles while modeling and feel what is like to look completely different. Thank you to my sweet friends @luigiandiango @gb65 @efarneti @patti_wilson @danielhernandezdh and @ginaedwards_ for making me look like the most iconic italian singer of all times for a day @mina_mazzini_official ?
