Burning Man

Dedicated to anti-consumerism and self-reliance, the nine day annual event celebrates artistic self-expression and the building of a temporary community. 

After being canceled several times due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the much anticipated festival is back to its desert home in Nevada.

‘Our intention is to generate society that connects each individual to his or her creative powers, to participation in community, to the larger realm of civic life, and to the even greater world of nature that exists beyond society,’ says their website.

The party continues until the man burns!

This year’s theme ‘Walking Dreams,’ celebrates the transformative power of dreams. In other words, use your imagination — the bigger and bolder, the better!

The RiSE Festival is located in the Mojave Desert 25 miles south of Las Vegas on the Jean Dry Lake bed.

The event brings together thousands of people of all ethnicities and backgrounds for the purpose of healing, growing and making last memories through the age-old tradition of releasing lanterns into the sky.

In the mid-afternoon, the festival offers live music and performances, as well as delicious food and beverages to socialize and connect, before the big lantern release.

This year’s lineup consists of Ry X, ASCENSION and Gone Gone Beyond.  

Attendees come from all over the world to be a part of the life-altering experience that cannot really be described.
