Now she has announced she is pregnant and I have no idea what to do.
We already have a daughter who’s two.
I am 25 and my wife is 24. I have known I am gay since I was 11.
I confided in my mum who said it was just a phase and we never talked about it again.
I only got married because my parents put pressure on me to do so and to hide the fact I’m gay.
My wife is a good friend but I don’t love her and I don’t want to live a lie any longer.
I am devastated that she is pregnant again.
DEIDRE SAYS: So were you using protection? I understand that you felt pressured by your parents but you have to take responsibility for your own life and your children.
You must be honest with your wife now and talk together about whether she should go ahead with this pregnancy and how you are both going to care for your little girl.
My e-leaflets Unplanned Pregnancy and Gay Resources explain some sources of support for you both.
