Well it turns out the stunning star went on a Mediterranean diet in order to shed the weight, and has stuck to it since 2016.
A Mediterranean diet means you eat a lot of food that are healthy with good fats, but less of the bad ones i.e. those that are high in sugar.
It includes eating lots of good oils and vegetables, as well as fish.
The NHS website explained: "The Mediterranean diet varies by country and region, so it has a range of definitions.
"But in general, it's high in vegetables, fruits, legumes, nuts, beans, cereals, grains, fish, and unsaturated fats such as olive oil. It usually includes a low intake of meat and dairy foods.
"The Mediterranean diet has been linked with good health, including a healthier heart."
Back in 2011, Sue had to be rushed to hospital form the coronation Street set owing to her diabetes.
At the time a source told The Sun: "Sue was looking pretty off at around 9am just as we were getting things ready for filming.
"Then all of a sudden she just seemed to collapse and everyone was panicking.
"The on-site medics were called and they were very quick to get to her.

"She informed them that she was having some kind of attack brought on by her diabetes and they agreed that that's what it looked like.

Speaking of her new diet, a source told Woman magazine: "Sue was always a self-confessed foodie, who admitted that over-indulgence was her Achilles Heel. Now everything’s changed.
"Sue’s in her mid 50s so it was a no brainer that cutting down on certain things was what she had to do.
"She’s in this for the long game and wants to live a long, happy and healthy life.”
