The Silhouette Soft Lift is the procedure that many A-listers swear by. Everyone from Katie Price to Meg Ryan to Simon Cowell have undergone the ‘invisible’ facelift in a bid to iron out their wrinkles and turn back the years.
But what is this mysterious treatment and what, exactly, does it entail?
Well, the Silhouette Soft Lift which is an invisible procedure that doesn’t require surgery. Instead it involves sewing bioplastic-infused thread into the face and neck and then pulling so as to get rid of sagging skin.
The invisible ‘sutures’ are implanted under the skin so she can get them tightened annually for the next five years. The X Factor boss Simon Cowell was a huge fan of the procedure, although did admit it was painful, as he told The Sun on Sunday: “There’s lots of things you can do now. You don’t just have to stuff your face with filler and Botox.
“It hurts like hell but it gets rid of sun damage and unplugs all the c**p. For me now, it’s all about having clean skin. If you have clean skin, you look better. But you have to be very careful with some of this stuff.”
Simon had his done by Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh, who is known as the ‘Picasso of Dermatology’. The procedure, as explained by US-based plastic surgeon Dr Barrett, targets deep tissues to lift the cheeks and mid face,” but they are “absorbed after six months in most cases. This is a modest nonsurgical solution.”
Two years ago ex glamour model Katie Price also had the skin-firming treatment. She was especially pleased with the results and after four hours took to her Instagram stories to say: “So this is literally four hours after. And look, not a bruise, not a mark – fantastic!”
In another clip, posted a few days later, she said:“I just wanted to let you know I had a facelift last Friday. This is five days after. Yes that's right, facelift!
“It doesn't end there, because although he has put the threads in, in six weeks time he will pull them and my face will look even fresher. “I know you all think I'm mad, I am mad but I'm preventing ageing.”
Both Katie and Simon have also had fillers and other procedures since their Silhouette Soft Lift so it is hard to directly compare their before and after pictures. However, we can compare the price. Simon reportedly paid £2,000 while Katie's cost a whopping £5,000.
