Your Weekly Tarot Card Reading Is Here

You don’t need to know the difference between a three-card and a Celtic cross spread to get the most out of a tarot card reading. All you need: your Sun sign! Here’s what I do: Shuffle my tarot deck and pull out the cards in order from Aries to Pisces, plus one general card for everyone so that you can get specific advice around your personality. Let’s go!

A GENERAL CARD FOR EVERYONE: QUEEN OF CUPS

The Queen of Cups is a signal to slow down, tune into your body and mind, listen to your intuition, and take a time-out. She’s all about self-care. Winter is coming (not in a Game of Thrones way, but literally). Emotionally, this can be a time of reflection and rumination. It’s time to do less and think more. Look inwards. Spend some time with your daydreams. Take good care of yourself, too—think lots of soup, sleep, and stretches. You need some TLC.

ARIES: NINE OF CUPS

Aries, you get a cosmic pass this week. You can have whatever your heart desires, as long as you’re prepared to play a bold hand to get what you want. Not a problem! You are confident and passionate. You know what lies in your heart, and you’re excited about making it a reality. It’s time to get out there and make some life-affirming decisions. The universe is on your side.

TAURUS: KNIGHT OF WANDS

The Knight of Wands is an explorer, a traveller, and a risk-taker. This might not sound like you, but you do have this side to you. Have you been feeling wanderlust lately? Like you’ve reached the end of a long road and want to broaden your horizons? DO IT. This Knight brings you the ideas, insight, and energy to begin again. Go out and start a new adventure.

GEMINI: THREE OF PENTACLES

Gemini, you have enough personalities in your own mind that you rarely feel at a loss for words, opinions, or ideas. However, what about other people? How often do you genuinely ask for, and listen to, their advice? The Three of Pentacles urges you to reach out to people you trust this week and ask for feedback. Get a second (or tenth…) opinion. You are well liked, people want to help you, and they you could benefit from considering their POV.

CANCER: PAGE OF PENTACLES

Cancer, have you been thinking about taking a class, going back to school, or exploring professional development in 2023? The Page of Pentacles is a student card. Maybe you’re getting your master’s degree, or maybe you’re just reading up on an interesting topic. Whatever you’re considering, feed your mind. Winter is a superb time for studying. Think about what you most want, or need, to learn right now.

LEO: THE TOWER

Although you have covered up for someone, made excuses for them, and even forgiven (but not forgotten)…things have not improved and, this week, you finally see it all, and you decide to let go. You can’t make this right. The Tower brings collapse to something in your life that needs to go. It’s time to (even metaphorically) pack up your sh** and walk out. This is for the best. No regrets. Move on.

VIRGO: FOUR OF CUPS

We all take some things for granted. It’s inevitable when you’re juggling a million different roles, relationships, situations, and demands. Virgo, take a breath this week, and notice the things in your life that are always there when needed. Celebrate them. Say thank you. Show gratitude. The Four of Cups is a nudge not to take the good ones for granted.

LIBRA: FIVE OF WANDS

Emotions can act like signals lighting up areas that need attention, change, or repair. Think about this as you go about your week, especially as you encounter any troubling or negative feelings. Don’t push them down or rush by…stop a while and examine them. What drives them? What are they signaling? What could you be doing to address them? The Five of Wands is an emotional prompt. Don’t try and block the feelings. Instead, tune into them and follow their path. Resolutions ahead.

SCORPIO: SIX OF CUPS

Nostalgia is not that familiar a feeling for many Scorpios. You are focused on the future, you accept endings easier than most, and you aren’t hugely affectionate for anything you’ve moved on from. When it’s done, it’s done, right? Well, the Six of Cups is tugging at your heartstrings this week. Someone, someplace, or something from the past is echoing emotionally for you, and maybe you rekindle what was lost. The past is calling. Will you answer?

SAGITTARIUS: FOUR OF SWORDS

Sag, you know FOMO well. You do everything you can to avoid it. You can’t bear to miss out on anything that looks remotely fun or interesting. You say “yes” to almost anything. Sag, please slow down this week. Cancel a few things. Stay home. Go to bed early. Meditate. Clear your schedule of everything but the essentials. The Four of Swords warns that you’re in danger of burnout. Take time for rest.

CAPRICORN: QUEEN OF WANDS

The Queen of Wands is a very strong card for entrepreneurs, which most Caps aim to become, if they’re not running their own business already. Maybe the time is now. What ideas have you been working on? Is it time to activate that sideline or patent the invention you’ve been creating? Take a chance. You’ve got nothing to lose, right? Even if it “fails,” you’ll still learn a lot. Learn by doing this week.

AQUARIUS: THE EMPRESS

The Empress is a card about love, family, and home. The best things in life are free. There’s nothing more important than being happy at home. Building a safe, warm, place to rest is important to everyone. Family could be on your mind right now, too, whether that means catching up with relatives, starting or expanding your own family, celebrating your chosen family, or reuniting with long-long cousins. Home is where the heart is.

PISCES: THE MAGICIAN

The Magician is many people’s favorite tarot card, and for good reason—it’s magical, creative, inventive, imaginative, and inspiring. You are on a winning streak right now, and you need to have confidence in yourself. Share your creative ideas. Make something. Write a story, a poem, or a love song. Be whimsical. Read your own tarot cards. Become the Magician this week!
