A$AP Ferg recently spoke to Hot 97 and clarified his association with A$AP Mob, revealing that he will be addressing the issue in his forthcoming track, “Big A$AP.”
“Them tweets was really real. It was something super petty but to make a long story short, I address it in a song called “Big A$AP” that I’m adding on to the project in a week…You’re gonna get all the answers you want out of that song,” he said. Ebro then clarified if his name is still A$AP Ferg, considering it’s the name released with Floor Seats II on streaming services, and the rapper replied, “That A is still in my name, that A is still tatted on me.”
Ebro finally straightforwardly asked if there would ever be a “world” where Ferg is not part of A$AP Mob, and Ferg confirmed that it’s not basically not possible. “I am the A$AP Mob,” he said proudly. Who’s been waving this flag for the past couple years? You can’t spell A$AP without saying A$AP Ferg.”
The question of Ferg’s affiliation with A$AP Mob stems from A$AP Illz‘s statements in early September claiming that Ferg was no longer part of the collective. “Ferg ain’t ASAP NO MORE sorry guys. that n*gga burnt out , songs dumb trash mr anthem cant get right,” Illz wrote via Instagram stories. A$AP Nast, however, quickly dismissed the issue, confirming that “THE TRAP LORD WAS NOT AND WILL NOT BE KICKED OUT OF A$AP” via Twitter.
