Following his axe from The Apprentice last month, Ryan-Mark Parsons exclusively revealed to Daily Star Online he's opening a cafe with fellow contestant Lottie Lion.

It was previously reported the duo were set to fling open the door to their new foodie venture in a couple of months, however, the pair have now been axed from the project.

Explaining the reasons why they've been snubbed from the venture, the 19-year-old said the owner felt the duo didn't fit the "target demographic of the audience".

"It took me by surprise, really. I've been getting someone to help me with my emails and things like that.

"And they've been going back and forth with someone that owns the cafe, and it all seemed really fun. They wanted Lottie and I to come down to open it," he told Daily Star Online.

Since news of their cafe project hit the headlines, Ryan-Mark has claimed the owner has performed a U-turn and pulled the plug on things.

"They turned around and said 'oh we don't appeal to the target demographic of the audience so we're just going to axed you from the opening'. Both of us.

Opening up about this idea of another hospitality venture, he said: "I don't know really. I mean, Lottie and I have been approached by a production company.

"One of the producers there has worked for BBC, ITV and Channel 4, and they're looking to work with us on a project. That's the next venture I'm doing with Lottie."

The Apprentice continues on BBC One on Wednesdays at 9pm.
