Beloved stage, TV and film actor David Tennant was arguably one of the greatest Doctor Who’s of modern times, but we can comfortably say that he should probably never appear on MTV’s Cribs.
When asked what’s the strangest thing that a burglar would find in his house, Tennant told EW: “It would probably be a two-foot-high pink, sparkly penis, which is a trophy my wife [actress Georgia Moffett] brought back from a production of What the Butler Saw that she was in a few years ago and has pride of place on a shelf.”
We wonder if the couple have placed this bubblegum-tinged phallus next to a collection of books, or their fish tank perhaps…
Meanwhile, David recently revealed his foray into the world of evil characters could have started years earlier when he was very nearly cast as the titular role in NBC’s series Hannibal.
“I met [Hannibal executive producer] Bryan Fuller a couple of times, and we talked about it,” he told Entertainment Weekly of how he *almost* ended up taking on the role.
He added: “But I think they quite wisely chose Mads, I think he was a perfect choice for it, and I think he did things with that character that I wouldn’t have managed, so I think the right man got the job.”
