Could Oasis finally be set for a reunion? OK, so it seems those rumours surface every five minutes, but Liam Gallagher’s latest tweet got fans excited.

The iconic ’90s frontman tweeted to brother Noel Gallagher that he “forgives” him, despite their longstanding feud, and suggested that they get the old band back together.

“Earth to noel listen up rkid I hear your doing gigs where people can’t drink alcohol now that’s the BeZarist thing you’ve done yet,” he wrote. “I forgive you now let’s get the BIG O back together and stop f**king about the drinks are on me LG x.”

However, he later admitted it wasn’t the biggest priority, adding: “I’m not desperate just think it’d be a nice thing to do.”

All looks good, right? Wrong. Noel didn’t publicly reply, and this morning (July 20), Liam returned to Twitter with bad news.

“I’ll take that as a NO then as you were,” he wrote.

It seemed that the brothers had made up at Christmas, and around the same time, Noel said of his brother: “Well, Liam’s been benefiting from my genius for a long time. He’s going to have to do with that again this year.”

However, he was positive about the chances of the band getting back together, especially if they are inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

“I’d do it,” he said on The One Show. “I guess you’d have to [reunite], to accept it. That’s if you accept it.”
