Michael Jackson married his first wife, Debbie Rowe, in 1996, after knowing her for over a decade. The pair met when Rowe was an assistant for Jackson’s dermatologist, who was treating his skin condition, vitiligo. Shortly after they were married, the pair had their first child together.
Prince Jackson was born on February 13, 1997, Jackson’s first child, and heir to his wealth.
Just a year later, Rowe was pregnant once again, this time to Paris Jackson.
After a laboured pregnancy, Rowe gave birth to Paris on April 3, 1998.
However during a documentary with Martin Bashir, Jackson revealed that he couldn’t wait to get Paris home, so simply took her straight home as soon as she was born.
Speaking about Paris’ birth, Jackson explained: “It was just magic. She came out the wrong way – her face was facing the wrong way.
“She was being kind of choked by the umbilical cord, so I was kind of worried, and it took her longer.”
Despite the birth complications, Paris was born safely – but Jackson simply wanted to take her home straight away.
The Thriller singer continued: “I was so anxious to get her home that at the cutting [of] the cord – I hate to say this – I snatched her and just went home with all the placenta all over her.”
The interviewer, shocked, responded: “You’re kidding?”
Jackson replied: “I’m not kidding. Got her in a towel and ran.
“They said it was fine, they said: ‘Everything’s OK with that’.”
Four years after Paris’ birth, Blanket Jackson was born on February 21, 2002.

Blanket was born via a surrogate mother, whose identity has never been revealed.
The controversy didn’t end with Paris, however, as Jackson famously almost dropped Blanket out the window whilst showing him off to press.
What’s more, while Debbie was pregnant with Paris in 1997, Jackson accidentally revealed she was pregnant during an interview.
During a TV interview with Barbara Walters, Jackson was quizzed about his wife’s pregnancy.
Barbara asked: “Is your wife, Debbie, now expecting a child?”
Jackson squirmed in his seat, before replying: “Can I say I’m not sure?” sparking quite the alarm with Barbara.
The star then yelped: “Wait no! No shh!”
Barbara laughed: “You said it! You said it, she may be pregnant.”
