Mike Tyson might just start a mosh pit at his upcoming fight after releasing a new EDM song named after, well, himself.
The 54-year-old is preparing to square up to Roy Jones Jr on November 28 for their highly-anticipated comeback match in California.
As if their post-retirement clash wasn’t already the unthinkable move, Iron Mike has now become a dance artist.
He’s teamed up with Indie-electro duo Tiki Lau for the track, Mike Tyson, which sees the boxer repeat his name throughout while delivering menacing lines such as: ‘I’ve been the wildest, I’ve been the craziest, I’ve been the outrageous, the vicious, the most destructive fighter.’
‘An international warlord that’ll strip your heart out … and guess what? I’M MIKE TYSON!’ he also shouts.
He certainly has bragging rights as Mike knocked out 44 of his 58 opponents throughout his career.
On another line, he warns: ‘Lend me your ears or I’ll eat them,’ likely in reference to him infamously biting off Evander Holyfield’s ear during their 1997 fight.
It seems Mike was too busy sparring in the ring to film a proper music video so, instead, the visuals include a cartoon of her former heavyweight boxer throwing jabs on a beach, taking on and defeating a shark and building sandcastles.
Stranger things have happened in 2020.
Revealing how their unique collaboration with Mike came about, Tiki Lau said: ‘Our multi-platinum Grammy-winning and legendary Tiki Lau team member Damon Elliott was in the studio with Mike Tyson and had him record the vocals then sent them over to us.
‘Damon is like the DJ Khaled of our group. They knew we were ready to deliver, and we did. You can’t help but get super pumped up when listening to this song.’
Mike could be starting off with stronger footing ahead of the fight, as Roy recently expressed his fears that Iron Mike could genuinely kill him.
However, he said he will ‘die a happy man’ if that happens.
Earlier this month, Mike appeared on Good Morning Britain to promote the match but sparked concern among viewers when he appeared dazed making for an awkward interview.
But he later clarified he was simply tired after staying up late for the televised chat.
