New year, new you is Ruth Langsford's mantra as she blew away the January blues with a stunning new 'do. Ruth took to Instagram to unveil her gorgeous new look.

Ruth visited the Leo Bancroft salon in Weybridge, Surrey. (Celebrity stylist Leo appears on This Morning regularly).

She shared a video with her 1 million Instagram followers and wrote:

"So this is how it was done….changing my tape extensions to new Flat Tip Bonds. Had a few more than I usually get….the result is subtle but believe me, I can really feel the difference."

"As you can see, I don’t have them for length, just for volume. Thank you for a great job @extensions_by lauren and thanks @leobancroft for the recommendation! #hair #makeover #hairextensions #leobancroftsalon"

The video, sound tracked by Selena Gomez's 'Look At Her Now,' showed the painstaking work that went in to applying Ruth's extensions. She now has long blonde tresses.

Fans and friends were impressed with the results.

Fellow broadcaster Vanessa Feltz said: "Absolutely gorgeous! You look terrific"

Ruth's This Morning colleague Allison Hammond wrote: "love it , you look stunning"

Radio and TV presenter Sarah Jane Crawford gushed: "Yes home girl, loving the weave"

One fan wrote: "She's good ! Hope you tipped her Ruthy"

This isn't the first time that Ruth has let fans in on her hair secrets.

In July 2021, fans were wowed by her stunning new bob hairdo. The presenter then revealed on Instagram that she was sporting subtle hair extensions.

A similar length to her own hair, they mostly added lift and volume, but did also create a longer look by thickening her bottom layer.

In the summer Ruth once again shared a video to her page showing her hair and makeup artist at work, using a wand to create a wave to the hair and discussing the two hair pieces added.

The subtle extensions blended seamlessly into Ruth's hair and you'd never have guessed they were there.
