Shaquille O’Neal is selling his massive Florida mansion for quite a bit of coin.
How’d you like to live in the opulent mansion of a former NBA superstar? You’ll never have to worry about low ceilings in the former crib of Shaquille O’Neal, who clocks in at a massive 7-feet, one inch tall.
The man’s house is as big as Shaq’s personality. In the Orlando suburb of Windermere right next to a swampy shore, Shaq’s 31,000 square foot home sits on 3 acres of land.
And by home, we really mean to say living center. It’s a combination mansion, massive parking garage, basketball court, a lavish outdoor swimming pool, home theatre, bizarre Egyptian-themed reading room, and 12 bedrooms.
The master bedroom has been customized to fit Shaq’s size with a custom-built 15-foot long bed frame. Y’know, in case two Shaqs need to sleep end to end.
The Shaq Center facility is of course the centerpiece, a “6,000-square-foot basketball court with bleachers and the logo of the Miami Heat, for whom Mr. O’Neal played from 2004 to 2008,” according to Mansion Global.
Nearby is a walk-in cigar humidor with wine cellar.
A massive garage is enough to store up to 17 vehicles, which at one point included a Lamborghini Gallardo, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Cadillac DTS, Jeep Wrangler, Ford Expedition, Lincoln Continental, Lincoln Navigator, Hummer H2s, and a Cadillac Escalade. Shaq also used to own a Smart Car, which he presumably used to pull the “clown getting out of tiny car” gag.
The outdoor pool area is nicknamed “Shaq-apulco” thanks to a 95-foot swimming pool, complete with rock waterfall, hot tub, and a swim-up bar.
Danial Natoli of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty is the listing agent for the home and admits that while the property is “move-in ready”, any potential buyer will likely spend some time renovating.
“I imagine they’ll make some changes for their own taste,” he said.
Why? Shaq thought it was a neat idea to post up Superman logos throughout the house. It was his nickname back in the NBA.
And all this can be yours for the low price of $28 million. We’ll be sure to tell you who snaps this up.
