Sharon Osbourne said she would never again contemplate killing herself after seeing two teen girls in rehab struggle to cope with their mum’s suicide.
The former X Factor and America’s Got Talent judge recently revealed she attempted to end her own life four years ago because she "just couldn’t bear it" after being medicated for 28 years for mental health woes.
She said she would never try it again after getting a "wake-up call" when she saw how distraught two fellow rehab patients were dealing with their mother’s death.
Sharon, 68, said: "I saw two girls that I was in treatment with and their mother had committed suicide and their lives went into a tailspin and they had tried to commit suicide.
"I just thought, 'My God, I can’t leave that behind.'
"So I could never think about doing that again – ever."
Sharon, who revealed her own past troubles on her US show The Talk a fortnight ago, admitted she had been 'embarrassed to tell people or to discuss it for a long, long time'.
"Just recently so many people are committing suicide that I’ve known… and it’s like, 'Come on, we’ve got to get this out in the open here,'" she said.
"People look at me and go, 'You’re so strong.'
"Yeah, sometimes. But a lot of the times I’m not and I can only take so much.
"It’s like a bottle of Coca-Cola – you shake me up and I will explode."
