Stevie Wonder is one of the latest celebrities to hit out at Kanye West since the rapper’s shocking comments on slavery.

West, who recently appeared as a guest in a TMZ interview, made some shocking revelations regarding himself, telling his hosts that he underwent liposuction and was addicted to opioids.

Yet his most alarming bit was on the subject of slavery, which he bizarrely described as a “choice.”

“When you hear about slavery for 400 years. For 400 years? That sound like a choice,” he said with a chuckle, although no one else thought it funny. And the insensitive comment has triggered quite the backlash.

Various celebrities and personalities have taken shots at Kanye for him saying one of the most absurd things one can say regarding his own race. And Stevie Wonder has joined the mob as well, branding the rapper’s statement as “foolishness.”

“We all know that slavery was not a choice,” the 68-year-old singer said during an interview (H/T Sky News). “So I just think that people need to understand that if you know your history, if you know the truth, you know that’s just foolishness.

“There’s been a lot of talk about what was said by Kanye. I want people to understand that the truth is the truth and a lie is a lie.”

West has since attempted to clarify his comments, yet there’s little he can say to placate anyone at the moment.

“We need to have open discussions and ideas on unsettled pain,” he said. “To make myself clear, of course, I know that slaves did not get shackled and put on a boat by free will.

“My point is for us to have stayed in that position even though the numbers were on our side means that we were mentally enslaved.”

As if that wasn’t enough, reports this week claim that the 40-year-old and his Adidas YEEZY office are under investigation for an employee getting badly injured in the building around two months ago.

Sources report that a large 3D printer fell on a male individual’s foot, with rumors claiming the limb may have been amputated as a result.
