SZA, The Weeknd, and Travis Scott have just released a new collaboration, “Power Is Power,” which appears on For the Throne, an upcoming album inspired by Game of Thrones in honor of its final season. The trio takes turns on the upbeat pop-hip-hop track, describing power, control, and determination in ways relating to the hit HBO fantasy show.

To start off, there are plenty of ice and fire references. (GoT is based on George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire book series, after all.) The Weeknd starts with the line, “I was born of the ice and snow,” and the chorus includes the lyric “Now watch me burn it down,” which is very Targaryen-esque.

The repeated line “heavy is the crown,” hints at the highly sought-after position of King or Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. The refrain is a major nod to Jon Snow and his resurrection with the lines, “A knife in my heart couldn’t slow me down” and “I rise from my scars, nothing hurts me now.” (One could even argue the “knife in my heart” phrase also refers to the Night King, since he was created when dragonglass was plunged into his chest.)

The title, “Power Is Power,” is a reference to the show itself. It’s a callback to a conversation Cersei Lannister and Petyr Baelish (AKA Littlefinger) had in Season 2. Littlefinger argues that “knowledge is power,” but Cersei tells him defiantly, “Power is power,” and orders her guards to seize him to prove her point.
