This foreboding "ring of smoke" hanging in the air has been described as a UFO and sparked fears of an alien invasion in Pakistan.
The black mark in the sky was filmed by stunned onlookers on their mobile phones in Lahore yesterday, with one saying it looked as if aliens were flying their craft using oil.
It appears to be travelling forwards in the air as a full circle without dispersing in the way you would usually expect it to.
A Twitter user posted the weird footage onto Twitter, with the caption: “They are here. #Lahore #Aliens.”
The clip has since been watched more than 31,000 times.
Huge 'fiery object' appears outside ISS before NASA live feed mysteriously cuts
Mystery as three bright objects seen 'slowly arriving at USAF base' in Las Vegas
In a second clip, posted from the same account, the ring is viewed from further away but can still be seen to retain its shape in the air.
The Twitter community is baffled by the apparition, with many noting it is not a typical UFO sighting.
“Aliens flying on diesel?” tweeted one person incredulously.
“Impossible! Aliens only land in America,” joked another viewer.
However, other people said it reminded them of something entirely different.
“Not aliens, someone just made a HUGE smoke ring,” commented a viewer.
“Smoke Ring,” added a second.
Sounding amazed, someone else asked: “Who is vaping up there??”
Choosing a more logical explanation, a third viewer wrote: “That's a ring of smoke caused by an explosion, pyrotechnic test, fireworks, etc.

“This exact ring was spotted in Chicago when an electric transformer exploded.”
In other "UFO" news, a tube-shaped object was filmed moving between "chemtrails" in an amazing video filmed by a witness and his son who said it was the "size of a bus".
This comes as a huge "fiery object" appeared on NASA's live feed of the ISS, before the footage was abruptly cut.
