Ozzy Osbourne has revealed his unwavering belief in aliens.

The legendary rock star said we'd be "f***ing mad" to think to we are alone in the universe.

He made the admission in a Q&A session on Reddit following the release of his new album, Ordinary Man.

The Black Sabbath hellraiser was asked what the inspiration was behind his whacky music video Scary Little Green Men.

He replied: "Aliens! If we think we're the only living thing in the universe, we're all f***ing mad.

"There has got to be other life out there, why should we be the only planet with life?"

In the hard-hitting interview session, the star took time to answer dozens of queries from fans.

One asked him: "Hi Ozzy. I’ve been a big fan since I was a kid but it was always difficult to listen to your music growing up because my mum thought you were in league with Satan and banned it from the house.

"She’s at my place right now visiting and it would absolutely make my day if you would leave a few words that I could pass along to her?"

He responded: "Don't be so stupid. It's only music. And Satan says hi."

Ozzy, who once bit a bat's head off in an on-stage stunt, also revealed he is working on a new album despite the recent release of Ordinary Man.

He even said it could come as early as next month.
