Best UK Christmas theme park events to book now including Legoland, Alton Towers and Gulliver's Land from £26 a ticket

SOME of the UK's most popular theme parks are already planning ahead for Christmas 2021.

It means families can make the most of the festive season by booking ahead of time, when travel restrictions will have been eased and they can be certain of a group outing.

Alton Towers, Legoland and Drayton Manor are just some of the parks that will give kids the chance to meet festive characters and maybe even Father Christmas himself.

Some events will even let families stay overnight, with fireworks, live shows and rides open in the evening.

They prices are wallet-friendly too, with tickets starting from just £26.

So if you're looking for something festive for all the family, here are the best Christmas attractions to head to later this year.

Legoland at Christmas

Taking place between November 27 2021 and January 3 2022, Legoland's festive event transforms the park into a winter wonderland full of twinkling lights, snow-dusted pine trees and seasonal festivities.

A £29 ticket gets you access to all of the festive fun and magic, plus the park's usual rides and attractions, and you get free parking, too.

For an extra special experience, book The Ultimate Festive Sleepover from £71.25 per person.

Guests get everything that's included in the £29 ticket, plus get to stay the night in a Lego resort themed family room and access to extra festive entertainment for the whole family.

Christmas at Gulliver's Milton Keynes

There's lots for little ones to do at Gulliver’s Land in the run up to Christmas.

As well as the usual festive rides and attractions, the park opens up a WinterWonderland that adds a little touch of magic to proceedings.

Kids can choose their own gift from the Elf Workshop and may well bump into Santa and his mischievous elves.

Santa's Sleepover at Alton Towers

Guests at Alton Towers can stay over at the theme park for Santa's Sleepover.

Kids will be able to stay for one night in a themed hotel, and enjoy a unique visit to Father Christmas.

Also included are tickets Alton Tower, Alton Towers waterpark, and a nine-hole crazy golf course.

A festive dinner and evening entertainment, as well as a buffet breakfast, free gift and a farewell from Santa, are part of the experience too.

The event runs on November 27 & 28, as well as December 3-5, 10-11, 17 and 23.

A Celebration of Christmas at Paultons Park

Christmas at Paultons is opening on selected dates between December 1 and 23.

Kids can watch the festive lights throughout the park, watch a musical and light-filled Christmas Tree show, see Peppa and George Pig in their seasonal outfits, meet various Christmas characters, and experience a brand new Christmas show with Father Christmas.

All this and lots of rides and attractions at Paulton's Park and Peppa Pig World. The Christmas experience is included as part of the standard admission ticket.

Drayton's Magical Christmas

Drayton Manor haven't yet announced dates for their Christmas event, but if it's anything like last year's, it's definitely worth keeping an eye on their site to bag a ticket.

Typically, at the park's festive event, kids can meet Father Christmas at the Castle of Dreams as well as meet reindeer at the zoo.

Thomas the Tank Engine has a live show themed around the festive season, and there's often a screening of a kid-friendly cartoon.

Families can usually also watch a Magical Christmas parade show with a fireworks display in the evening.
