I go on 7 foreign holidays a YEAR – and every trip costs less than £100 | The Sun

WHILE most of us save up for one summer holiday abroad, a British woman has racked up seven foreign trips this year – and all of her trips have cost less than £100.

Bargain hunter Kemmie Smith, 22 from West Yorkshire, scours the internet for cheap flights to go away – sometimes just for a night out.

Working for the police on shift patterns, Kemmie doesn't even use her holiday allowance, instead using her rest days to get away for a short period, flying with best friend Tegan Knappy, 22.

Kemmie’s regularly asked by her friends to help find cheap getaways, and the running joke in her family is, where’s she going next weekend.

Kemmie said: "My friends and I are all really spontaneous and once we get something into our heads, we just do it.

"I was looking on Skyscanner and saw you could fly to Palma for £7 on a return flight the same day. We flew out at 7am and flew home at 11pm.

“My £12 Burger King in the airport cost more than the actual flight which is hilarious.

"We flew when it was snowing in the UK, so it was great to leave and get some sun – it was mid 20’s in Palma.

"I went with my friend Tegan, and we went swimming in the sea, before enjoying paella and sangria in the sun. We also got matching tattoos of a little heart with a plane and sunbathed on the beach before heading back to the airport.

"The tattoos were £50, yet the flight was only £7!

Palma isn't the only one-day trip Kemmie has been on, visiting Dublin with pals for a night out.

She said: "We booked a 10pm flight to Dublin and went for a night out.

"We got dressed up, got on the plane and went straight out. Come 4am we went back to the airport to get the flight home. It was just like we were going out for a night out in our hometown.

KEMMIE’S 2022 TRIPS ABROAD

February – Krakow – three nights

April – Palma – one day

May & July – Dublin – one day each for a night out

June – Benidorm – two nights

July – Malaga – two nights

August – Ibiza – four nights

"We did it because it was so cheap. The flight to Dublin was only £15 and we don't pay for any accommodation because we came straight back.

"People in the airport thought it was amazing when we told them we’d be coming straight home after our night out.

"It's been the best summer ever, it's been crazy, but I just want to make so many memories.

"So far this year I’ve been to Krakow in February, Palma in April, Dublin in May and July, Benidorm in June, Malaga in July and Ibiza in August.

"I’ll definitely carry on doing this. I’m planning to go to Paris next month as I’ve found a deal for £60 for flights and a hotel for two nights.

Kemmie revealed the one key secret to finding these mega deals.

She said: "People always ask me how I can afford it, but I tell them I’m flexible enough to fly on the cheapest days.

“The key to it all is that you need to be flexible, if you go onto Skyscanner and look at the whole month you can see the cheapest days and plan it from there.

"My Ibiza trip was for four nights but we still managed to go for just £60, and Malaga and Benidorm were both for two nights, but we still got them really cheap.”
