Liverpool fans in Kiev for the Champions League final are paying up to £5,350 PER NIGHT for £18 rooms as prices are dramatically hiked

Hotels are hiking up prices for the weekend that Liverpool play Real Madrid, with one hotel putting its prices up by 29,622 per cent for the night of the game – a 300-fold increase.

A double room at the "Harmony On Andrew Descent" hotel is priced at £18 per night if a guest stayed just one week before on May 19.

But on the night of the match, it’s listed on Booking.com at £5,350.

For that price, you'll get a standard king-size room with a private bathroom.

It also has Wi-Fi – although the owner will still charge you an extra £1 for breakfast.

The Lkyanovsky hotel is offering its offering a double or twin room for £3,942 for the night.

The same room at the same hotel a week before would have cost you just £34 for the night.

There are a small amount of cheaper rooms available around Kiev – but these have still had massive price hikes.

Hotel Verhovina has rooms available at the more reasonable price of £142 per night – although the prices have still been put up from their usual £15 per night.

You could also stay on a dingy-looking sofa bed 4.3 miles away from the city centre for the princely sum of £1,439.

It normally costs £21 per night to stay there.

But while most might baulk at the price – that sofa bed was snapped up while this article was still being written.

These prices are all just for the one night – if fans are heading to Kiev on the Friday then costs will double.

Airbnb is probably your best bet for something more affordable if you are heading to Kiev that weekend – although the website was stating that only one per cent of its properties are still available for May 26.

However rentals were still available around the £80 to £150 mark when this article was written.

And if you want to camp you will also be disappointed.

Campsite Chayka is fully booked for tents and advised Sun Online Travel to email them to be added into the waiting list.

They told us that if they have 100 people they can open another campsite – but wouldn’t reveal a price.

Sun Online Travel previously revealed that flights to the Champions League final are costing Liverpool fans over £1,700.

And football fans heading to the Russia World Cup have also been facing huge hotel bills as guesthouses in Kaliningrad also hike their prices for this summer's tournament.
