The Walking Dead fans can experience the zombie apocalypse for themselves thanks to a brand new immersive experience coming to the UK.

FOX are launching a brand new interactive exhibition, The Walking Dead: Art Apocalypse, in February so that fans can relive some of their favourite moments and iconic terrifying scenes.

Think set recreations, prop replicas (Daryl’s motorbike is a highlight) and plenty of immersive experiences to plunge you into the heart of the apocalypse.

For example, there’ll be a large scale recreation of the Governor’s office, where visitors can submerge their head into one of the tanks, amidst the decapitated walkers.

Then there will be all of the behind-the-scenes tidbits including ‘make under’ demonstrations where special effects make-up artists will be on hand to show just how they create the petrifying zombie looks, as well as more blood and gore.

Speaking of zombies, keep an eye out as you wander around; there will be live walkers out and about, recreating iconic scenes including the escape from Terminus, Winslow, and some of the most gut-wrenching walker kills.

Then there’ll be the art gallery packed with fan art, selected by the show’s Executive Producer, Director and Special FX Make-Up Designer Greg Nicotero as part of a competition held in October 2018.

The gallery will be open at a pop up space in Truman Brewery in East London on Friday 8th February (12-7pm) and Saturday 9th February (10am-5pm).

Because of the immersive nature of the exhibition, it’s open to adults aged 18+, and the organisers warn that the gallery will include " some elements that people may find disturbing".

Can’t make it to London that weekend? The good news is that you won’t need to wait long to get your Walking Dead fix as season 9 returns on Monday 11 February at 9pm on FOX.
