‘A famous actor asked me to share his hot tub’: Yacht deckhands reveal the most outrageous requests they’ve had from high-flying clients

From being made to peel grapes to being asked to get white dumbbells for the gym, deckhands for the rich and famous have revealed some of the oddest requests they’ve had.

The crew members spoke out to mark Bravo TV’s season three of Below Deck Mediterranean, a reality show charting working life on a super yacht.

Stewardess Brooke Laughton revealed that she had once been propositioned by a ‘super hot’ famous actor to jump into her swimwear and join him in the hot tub.

She said that she declined the offer ‘for some strange reason’ because she still had another month on the boat and didn’t want to be unprofessional.

Another stewardess, Kasey Cohen also had a strange experience with a celebrity.

She said an ‘old rapper’ asked her to ‘fluff his marijuana’ which left her rather bemused.

The deckhand continued: ‘I can barely fluff a pillow and [this guest] wanted me to fluff marijuana. What the hell does that even mean?’

Conrad Empson, who works as a bosun (responsible for maintaining the exterior of the yacht), said one guest asked him to ride a camel

In season three of Below Deck Mediterranean, the crew voyages from Naples to Capri to Positano. They travel aboard the Talisman Maiton, a super yacht which sleeps 12 guests and costs £202,094 a week to charter

Lead deckhand João Franco said he was once made to peel grapes for a guest, who didn’t want to eat them with the skin on.

Conrad Empson, who works as a bosun (responsible for maintaining the exterior of the yacht), had a similar comical request, with one guest asking him to ride a camel.

And Colin Macy-O’Toole said that he had a guest order white dumbbells for the gym which he found ‘a little odd’.

In season three of Below Deck Mediterranean, the crew voyages from Naples to Capri to Positano, taking in a plethora of breathtaking stops along the Amalfi Coast.

This season the crew will encounter everything from hurricane winds, lightning storms and tending to the unimaginable demands of their high-profile guests.

But the ultimate test these yachties face is overcoming their differences in order to keep things shipshape.
