A young woman was raped by a stranger on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, police said Thursday.
The 19-year-old had just exited the 96 Street station around 7:30 p.m. Sunday when the stranger approached and began talking to her.
He continued walking with her as they approached East 95th Street and Third Avenue, where police said he raped her on the sidewalk before running off.
Someone called 911 and EMS took the victim to a local hospital.
Her attacker is still on the loose.
Cops on Thursday provided video of a person who police want to question. The man is seen in the footage jumping over the turnstile inside the subway station, wearing a white t-shirt and gold shorts.
Police ask anyone with information call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
