Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, will lead tributes to unsung heroes of the health service at The NHS Heroes Awards, brought to you by ITV and the Mirror.

She will join NHS staff from all over Britain and a host of famous faces at the glittering event.

Hosted by Paul O’Grady, it will be screened as a two-hour primetime special on ITV later this month.

Paul, 62, who thanks the NHS for saving his life after three heart attacks, said: “I’m thrilled to be hosting the new NHS Heroes Awards as this wonderful institution celebrates its 70th year.

“We’ll be honouring the incredible medical staff and also the dedicated work of porters, cleaners and, of course, the army of volunteers without whom the NHS couldn’t function.”

Paul and Camilla will be joined by some of the biggest names in film, TV, music and sport for a show packed with heart-warming stories and celebrity surprises. It will be the highlight of the 70th anniversary celebrations.

The star-studded event, on Park Lane, London, recognises extraordinary achievements of those who work around the clock to transform lives.
