Coastguards have recovered a body after a car was today seen driving over Beachy Head cliff and plunging 531 feet.
Coastguard, Sussex Police, the RNLI and East Sussex Fire and Rescue are on the scene after the car went over the clifftop.

It is currently unclear how many people were inside the vehicle, which slid off the edge of Beachy Head

A spokesman for Sussex police said the car had been found and a recovery operation was underway.
The force said: ‘Emergency services were called at 11.15am on Thursday to a report a car had been seen to drive off cliffs at Beachy Head.
‘A car has been seen over the cliff and recovery is underway.
‘Coastguard, lifeboat and East Sussex Fire and Rescue are in attendance.’
A spokeswoman for the Marine Coastguard said: ‘About 11.15am today East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service requested HM Coastguard assistance at Beachy Head, after receiving reports that a car had gone over the cliff near the lighthouse.’
