What are the odds on Liam?

But in a break from tradition, Kensington Palace have chosen to do away with the protocol.

William to be Harry’s best man: Prince says he is ‘honoured’ to support his brother

Prince Harry has asked his older brother Prince William to be his best man at his wedding to Meghan Markle, it was revealed today.

Wills, 35, will return the favour to Harry, 33, who was his own best man at his wedding to Kate Middleton in 2011.

Kensington Palace said William is ‘honoured’ to have been asked – although his acceptance will scupper any lingering hopes he may have had of watching some of the FA Cup final, which is on the same day.

Odds: Prince Albert 10/1

Prince Albert is currently the third betting favourite, behind Alexander and Arthur.

A baby Prince Albert … named after … err George VI?

Known publicly as Albert until his accession, and ‘Bertie’ among his family and close friends, George VI was born in the reign of his great-grandmother Queen Victoria, and was named after his great-grandfather Albert Prince Consort.

Although, as The Sun point out, a Prince Albert has come to mean something VERY different in modern times.

He’s more than happy to take on any royal duties on the day too

The Daily Mail’s Royal correspondent is ‘confident it won’t be Alexander’ – could Arthur, Albert or even Louis be announced today?

The wedding will take place at St George’s Chapel, Windsor on May 19th

Alexander has emerged as the strong favourite ahead of Arthur and Albert

Here are Betway’s current odds, with the name expected to be announced very shortly.

Kate & Wills Third Baby Name:

Alexander 2/1

Arthur 5/2

Albert 10/1

James 10/1

Louis 12/1

Betway’s Alan Alger said: ‘Our betting on the royal baby name went back up again this morning and all the business has been for Alexander.

‘He was well backed on Wednesday, joining Arthur at the head of the market at 5/2, but bets on Alexander have outweighed any other name by some way today and we wouldn’t be surprised to see that name inked on the birth certificate before too long.’

Meghan Markle’s character weds in her final appearance on Suits

Meanwhile, ahead of her real royal wedding, Meghan Markle has made her final appearance as a regular on Suits in the show’s two-hour season finale on the USA Network on Wednesday.

The actress, 36, saw her character, Rachel Zane, wed lawyer Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams, who’s also departing the show) in an art-imitates-life sequence to wrap up the season.

Markle last year quit the legal drama after announcing her forthcoming wedding to Prince Harry, which will take place in just a few weeks at Windsor Castle on May 19.

William jokingly hints at Royal baby’s name: Prince Alexander of Cambridge?

More speculation about the name Alexander, this time from the Daily Telegraph.

Why Anzac Day may have delayed the official announcement

‘Wednesday marked Anzac Day – a national day of remembrance in Australia – which saw Prince William back out to work just two days after his baby boy was born.

‘Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said that the couple would have decided to hold back their announcement in a mark of respect to Australia and New Zealand’s war dead.’

William gives a VERY big clue to the name of his new baby

Australia’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Alexander Downer, suggested to Prince William he should call the boy Alexander during an Anzac Day service at Westminster Abbey in London.

Odds on what Kate Middleton and Prince William’s new baby will be called

Arthur, Albert, James, Philip and Henry are all proving popular.

Richard and Peter are outsiders at 40/1 and 33/1 respectively.

Who are Prince George and Princess Charlotte named after?

Prince George’s full name is George Alexander Louis or His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge.

Prince Charlotte’s full royal title is Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana Windsor of Cambridge, and the toddler is fourth in line to the throne.

Royal baby will have ‘strong name’ says Prince William

‘The Duke and Duchess have been caring for their two day old son at Kensington Palace, where they are settling into life as a family of five,’ says Daily Mail Royal correspondent Rebecca English.

Bookmakers, have suspended bets on the baby being named Alexander following a flurry of late bets.
