The Hollywood producer has kept a low profile in the months since he wed heiress Tracey Kurland in an extravagant ceremony in Montecito last May.

Meanwhile, Meghan has dominated the headlines amid reports that she, Harry and baby Archie are putting down roots in Canada, to the dismay of the Royal Family.

Meghan Markle’s ex-husband Trevor Engelson stopped by a hair salon in Beverly Hills for an appointment on Thursday. It was the first time he’d been seen since his ex-wife’s bombshell announcement that she and Prince Harry are quitting senior royal duties and moving to North America part-time

He stayed mum as a reporter repeatedly asked for his opinion on Meghan’s new role in the royal family.

Before ducking into his flashy sports car, Engelson said: ‘You have a good day.

The Duchess of Sussex broke cover for the first time on Tuesday as she left the palatial $14million Canadian home on Vancouver Island where she has been holed up since last week to visit a women’s shelter in Canada’s poorest neighborhood.

Harry is expected to join Meghan in Canada soon, after spending time in Britain to work out the terms for the couple quitting during a summit with the Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William at Sandringham on Monday.

His last royal duty was to appear at the draw for the Rugby League World Cup at Buckingham Palace on Thursday.

Engelson, 43, from Great Neck, New York, began dating Meghan in 2004 before she became famous on Suits. They dated for six years before getting engaged in 2010.

The couple married in Jamaica in September, 2011 in front of 100 family members and friends.

But within weeks of their wedding Meghan won her break-out role on TV legal drama ‘Suits,’ and spent months each year filming in Toronto, Canada while Engelson stayed at their home in Los Angeles.

The distance eventually took its toll and they separated in the summer of 2013.

Their marriage officially ended in 2014 with ‘irreconcilable differences’ cited in their divorce papers.

Engelson has produced films including Robert Pattinson’s ‘Remember Me’ and the Bradley Cooper-Sandra Bullock comedy ‘All About Steve.’

Engelson has since moved on, however, marrying nutritionist Kurland, 33,  on May 11 last year, almost exactly a year after Meghan and Prince Harry tied the knot.

He proposed to the multi-millionaire banker’s daughter in June 2018 while on a tour of California’s wine country after dating for a year.

The couple celebrated their engagement with a bash in October that year held at a private home in the exclusive Hidden Hills, California.

Film producer Engelson will have something to remind him of Meghan at home after listing a $275 eight-inch Waterford crystal ‘Meg’ rose bowl, from Gearys of Beverly Hills on his wedding registry.

According to The Sun, Meghan sent her wedding ring back to Engelson after they split.

Before marrying for a second time, Engelson dated a few other high-profile women, including The Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel.

At his bachelor party in Miami Beach in March last year the Hollywood producer was roasted over his connection to royalty.

In social media footage a group of friends is seen lifting up their glasses to toast Engelson and one of them looks across to him and says: ‘This right here… this right here is to royalty, you know what I’m saying?’

To chuckles from the group, and the clinking of glasses, he continues: ‘Royalty won, royalty lost… But regardless baby, we got to keep going!’

The marriage to heiress Kurland happened in Montecito, California at the Rosewood Miramar Beach resort, where the menu included French fries and burgers.
