By now, most of us are probably aware we don’t treat our bras with the care and reverence they deserve.
After all, these are clever pieces of technology which serve a number of functions.
Yet, when it comes to our bras, we often can’t seem to get it right, despite spending a fair amount of money on them.
For starters, seven in ten women are walking around, sporting a bra which is in completely the wrong size .
This, aside from not looking great, can also lead to health problems such as back pain and even restricted breathing.
Then there’s the storage issue.
According to Good Housekeeping , storage is crucial, and this applies especially when our bra is in between washes.
Where many of us are going wrong is by stashing them away in our drawers, when in fact we should be allowing them to air out to prevent sweat and dirt from co-mingling, festering and causing irritation and unpleasant smells.
What we should be doing instead is ensuring our bras stay fresh by leaving them out flat or keeping them on a hanger.
Oh, and washing them after every few wears helps too.
According to Good Housekeeping, research shows we have two bras we wear on rotation and will ignore all the others in our drawers, when we should be showing them some love too.
